Decree of the Reich President for the Mitigation of Hardships in Social Insurance and in the Reich War Pensions System
Verordnung des Reichspräsidenten zur Milderung von Härten in der Sozialversicherung und in der Reichsversorgung
A small easing of the austerity decrees of 1931–32. Where an invalidity, salaried employees’ or miners’ pension was partly suspended because the pensioner also drew a war or civil-service pension or pay from uninsured employment, the suspended part was capped at two-thirds of the pension and at 50 Reichsmarks a month, with the Reich paying the invalidity insurance 15 million Reichsmarks a year towards the cost. In the war pensions system, children’s allowances and orphans’ pensions were again paid until a child’s sixteenth birthday instead of the fifteenth. It took effect on 1 April 1933.
